We Must Control Birth Rate To Address Our Current Challenges – LG Chair


The Executive Chairman, Kagargo local government area of Kaduna State, Hon. Nasara Rabo has called on the constituted authority to look at possible ways of controlling the Country’s birth rate to Commiserate with the labour demand with the view of addressing the current challenges.

The Council boss who gave the advised yesterday, in his Christmas message observed that except there is proper control of the Nigeria population the Country will continue to swindle in poverty.

According to him when a country is over populated it will adversely affect the Country’s economy, poverty will continue to loom and unemployment, hence, to avoid such drastic situation, birth rate should be controlled,” Rabo said.

” In a Country that is under developed, rapid growth of population diminishes the availability of capital per head which reduces the productivity of its labour force and reduce their capacity to save which, in turn, adversely affects capital formation.

” When people continue to give birth to Children and cannot take care of them, the implication will result to their Wards involve in all kinds of vices.

” Criminality increases in the Society, and people become an endangered species to these kind of Children who roam the street everyday without anything doing,” He added.

Rabo, congratulated Nigerians on this year’s Christmas celebration while stressing the need for peaceful coexistence between and among Nigerians, irrespective of ethnic or religious leanings.

He said there is the need for authorities to review the nation’s security arrangement for an improved performance saying that “the unabating security situation in the country unarguably calls for self-examination.

He however, urged the Christians Faithfuls to use the Christmas season to emulate the teachings and virtues of Christ and be security cautious, adding Nigerians should observe all guidelines of covid-19 pandemic to stay safe and healthy.
