In a heartfelt tribute shared on his X account on Sunday, Mufti Menk described Buhari as “an upright man, who never missed his prayers and a very disciplined believer.”

“The passing away of a legend… brought me to tears,” Menk said, adding that Buhari served his people with dedication and integrity.

Menk hailed Buhari as a symbol of faith and honesty, noting that his name was “synonymous with integrity.”

He also credited Buhari with changing his perception of Nigerians, saying the late president helped him appreciate the country’s people on a deeper level.

“May Allah Almighty forgive your shortcomings and grant you the highest ranks of Jannah,” Mufti Menk prayed.

He extended condolences to Buhari’s family, friends, and the entire nation of Nigeria, praying for ease and strength in their time of grief.
