From being a cub reporter on the streets of Abuja to becoming the Group News Editor (GNE) of LEADERSHIP Newspaper, ISUWA has impacted the world of Journalism and has helped in shaping the social, economic, political, cultural and security aspects of the country and
He has worked with Daily Trust, The Daily Times, Pulse.ng and he is an international retainer with the New York Times (NYT). He is also the founder of Elanza News, an influential media platform that publishes elanzanews.ng and the hard copy of Elanza Magazine where organisations partner for their publicity. Many youths and other people in Nigeria have been groomed in the Journalism profession through Elanza News.
ISUWA has covered the anti-corruption agencies, Defence and every aspect of the Nigerian Politics in several states including Kaduna.
Known for his nose for human interest and impactful stories, ISUWA won
a cash award and a letter of commendation as the writer of the best
story of the month in Daily Trust Newspapers.
Also, his story, “The Killer Bridge In Kaduna Suburb,” prompted the Yakowa administration to award the construction of a road and the bridge linking Romi and Karatudu communities in Chikun Local
Government Area of Kaduna State that was completed by the el-Rufai’s administration.
His story, “Inside Kaduna Traditional Orthopedic Hospital,” brought
succour to some of the operators in Southern Kaduna and also earned
him so much accolade.
Another story authored by him, “Deputy Speaker In Alleged Forgery Scandal,” helped in the release of some youths in Nasarawa State that were illegally detained.
As a muckraker, ISUWA authored uncountable impactful stories such as,

ISUWA is the first journalist to bring to the fore, the attacks and killings in Southern Kaduna when it started in 2012, spending a whole day to reach unmotorable Chikun village where 11 people including a Pastor were murdered.
He was the first journalist to also report the attacks on Atakar, Bondom, Sanga and several other communities where hundreds of people were killed on different nights.
He has traversed almost all the Southern Kaduna communities where attacks took place and also visited many communities in the area with donors while serving in Kaduna.
ISUWA has been consistent in reporting terror meted on Nigerians and others and was one of the few journalists selected from West Africa for a fact finding on the Israel/ Palestinian crisis in the Middle East.
ISUWA holds an MSc in Mass Communication.
“I am elated to be so recognised by my immediate community even though
my work has been creating impact and shaping the global space,” Isuwa
said while reacting to his nomination as the Journalist of the year by the youth wing of the Southern Kaduna People’s Union (SOKAPU).
