The member representing Jaba Constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Samson Monday Dikko has said the Southern Kaduna people, particularly, the Kaduna South Senatorial district have been abandoned
by those who ought to take care of them, calling for a better deal in 2023.
According to Dikko, people of goodwill must come together and map out strategies that will salvage the people and the region.
The lawmaker stated this after a meeting with stakeholders in Kagoro, Kaura LGA of Kaduna state yesterday.
Dikko who is seeking for their consent to enable him vie for the ticket for the Kaduna South Senatorial district ahead of the 2023 general election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has contacted stakeholders in the eight local government areas
of Kaduna South Senatorial district.
But speaking, the lawmaker said God has a better plan for Southern Kaduna adding that people of goodwill must support him in the project of rebuilding the area.
“Southern Kaduna have been abandoned by those who ought to take care of them.This is the time for the entire Southern Kaduna people to get it right. My intention for the land and the people is good. Unity will
reign supreme if I am supported.
“We need to transform our region and improve security, education, health, agriculture, economy, employment and empowerment for the teaming youths in conjunction with reputable Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) he said.
Also speaking, the Director General of the Dikko Campaign Organization (DCO) Timothy Chindo Kwassam said the destiny of the people of Kaduna South Senatorial district will be in their own hands if Dikko leads them at the red chamber come 2023.
“For everything under the sun, there is a season. So, the coming of Dikko at this critical period of time is not a mere coincidence but a divine plan by God to liberate the region from all that has hindered her from growing and competing with other regions,” Kwassam said, lamenting that despite the abundance in human and material resources available to the people they are still struggling.
“The Almighty God has richly blessed Southern Kaduna but yet the people are lagging behind in virtually all the sectors of human development. This situation will change when Dikko becomes the Senator come 2023,” Kwassam said in a statement.
While urging the delegates in Southern Kaduna to be mindful of candidates they select when the time comes, added that Nigerians expect delegates to be change agents.
“One thing Dikko has going for him is youthful energy, high intellect, compassionate heart, political zeal for service to God and Humanity.
