Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, has donated a brand new Peugeot 407 to Bishop Joseph Masin, the Nasarawa State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria -CAN.
Senator Al-Makura, who represent Nasarawa South at National Assembly, presented the car to the CAN chairman yesterday in his residence in Lafia.
Represented by his Director General, Rayyanu Illiyasu, the senator said the donation was meant to reduce the hardship faced by the man of God, who was kidnapped by unknown persons recently.
The senator also donated an undisclosed amount of money to Bishop Masin and others, to caution the effect of COVID 19.
Recieving the car key in his residence in Lafia, Bishop Masin, thanked the Senator for the roles he played before and after his release by kidnappers.
Bishop who said the senator is not a religious bigot, assured him that he would win second term, as he called on other politicians to emulate the former Governor who always accord respect to religious institutions.
Bishop Masin, used the occasion to thank both Christians and Moslem in the state who prayed for his freedom from the hands of his abductors
