The Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), has visited and donated relief materials to the victims of Weekend’s attack and counter attack in Ungwan Bido and Ruggan Danbarau, all in Ado district of Jema’a Local Government Area of the State.
Donating the items onbehalf of the state government on Monday, the Executive Secretary of the Agency, Mal. Abubakar Hassan, condoled the affected communities over the unfortunate incidence which resulted to the death of eight people.
He advised the people against taking laws into their hands no matter the provocations and always seek amicable ways in resolving their problems to avoid crisis.
The SEMA boss assured that the Agency was on an on the spot assessment of the affected communities with the assurance of bringing more relief materials to them soon.
Earlier, the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Mr. Peter Danjuma Averik, who spoke through his Vice, Mr. Micah Ngboni, commended the swift response by the state government, security and other relevant agencies which resulted to the arrest of some suspects.
He also thanked SEMA for the prompt response in bringing immediate succor to the victims.
Receiving the items onbehalf of the affected communities, the District Head of Aso, Mr. Barnabas Samaila and the Chairman of Miyyetti Allah Cattle Breaders Association of Nigeria in the local government area, Bayero Abdullahi, pledged to ensure that only the victims benefit from the gesture.
LEADERSHIP reports that the items distributed include; bags of 25kg rice, mattresses, Noodles, ten liters of groundnuts and palm oil cans, clothing, pots and insecticides among others.
