Run For The Governorship, Students Tell Sen Gyang

The Forum of Plateau North present and past Student leaders has urged the incumbent Senator representing Plateau North Barr. Istifanus Gyang

to declare his interest to recontest the seat of Plateau North senatorial zone comes 2023.

According to the Students, they hope the Senator will respond to this call as swiftly as possible so that they can commence widespread consultations and engagements towards realising this lofty goal.

The leaders of the Forum Israel Joseph Chairman, and Ajang Afam secretary respectively made the appeal in Jos while addressing newsmen.

They commended Senator ID Gyang for his outstanding representation of Plateau North in the Red chamber adding that he has change the narrative and fortune of the educational sector of the most cosmopolitan Senatorial zone which hosts about 24 higher institutions.

“We note with satisfaction and pride that our amiable and cherished Senator ID Gyang has constructed appreciable number of Secondary and Primary School classroom blocks across the local government that make up the Senatorial district including the following.”

They further pointed out that “Today we came in droves to lend our firm voices that Senator ID Gyang of Plateau North, would guarantee robust and engaging representation for the zone, judging from his antecedents as both a philanthropist, an astute, pragmatic and consummate politician with the fear of God.

The Leaders further explained that his sojourn in the Civil Service and House of Reps, where he demonstrated rare feats of courage and dexterity on issues of governance and state which has endeared him to the youths and students.

According to the Students his long standing relationship and association with students platforms like the National Association of Plateau State Students (NAPSS), National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and various students union government of higher institution, has prepared him for the responsibilities of a Federal legislator.
