Ritual: Avoid Oba Of Benin Palace From 11pm Sunday, Council Tells Nigerians 

The Benin Traditional Council has asked Nigerians to stay away from the Oba of Benin Palace from 11pm on Sunday, 15th March, 2020 to 4am on Monday, 16 March, 2020 because of a traditional ritual that will take place.
A statement issued by the traditional council secretary, Frank Irabor, also warned motorists and vehicle owners to avoid the Oba palace within the period.
According to the statement, the entire Airport Road axis; Adesogbe (Plymouth) Road axis; Alaka axis and Ezoti axis should be avoided from 11pm on Sunday, 15th March, 2020 to 4am on Monday, 16 March, 2020 because of the ritual.
“This is to inform the general public that there is going to be restriction of human and vehicular movement around Oba Palace from 11pm on Sunday, 15th March, 2020 to 4am on Monday, 16 March, 2020.
“Airport Road axis; Adesogbe (Plymouth) Road axis; Alaka axis and Ezoti axis should be avoided,” the statement said.
“The general public is advised, in their own interest, to keep away from these axis as a result of the traditional ceremony that is going to take place at that time,” the statement added.
