President Muhammadu Buhari addressing the Nation on the Coronavirus Pandamic

President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation on Monday 18th May, 2020 following the expiration of the first phase of the gradual easing of the lockdown in some parts of the country.

This is contained on a Channels Television programme “Sunday Politics”, by the National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on Covid-19, Dr. Sani Aliyu.

He said that Nigerians will know whether or not the country will go ahead with the second phase of the easing lockdown.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the presidential task force on Covid-19 and secretary of the government of the federation, Boss Mustapha has warned those flouting the guidelines on the relaxed lockdown, that the virus may continue spreading till the next two months. He added that the next phase of the task force responsibility had moved to the community level for them to take ownership, reduce transmission if the country was to flatten the curve.
