The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Nasarawa State Chapter, Dr Sunday Emma has called on Christians and citizens in general to pray hard for Nigeria and ensure they participate actively in politics.
Emma also charged people of voting age to ensure they participate actively in politics.
Addressing Christian faithfuls in Keana Local Government area of Nasarawa State, Emma said now is the time that all Christians must be united in prayers.
He said all Christians must serve God diligently and work together for the good of Nigeria.
Taking his text from the Book of 1 Corinthians 1:10, Emma reminded Christians that they must be united under the umbrella of CAN more than ever before.
He added that the prayer and desire of the Lord Jesus Christ is unity which is the motto of CAN.
The Nasarawa State CAN Chairman, during his tour of Local Government and Development Area chapters of the Association across Nasarawa State: “Recent political happenings in Nigeria, the security situation, the economy and every facet of our national life call for serious prayer for God’s intervention.
“However, we must go beyond prayer to making sure that we play very active roles in the political process towards enthroning God-fearing and competent leaders that would unite our people, our nation and lead Nigeria to greatness,” the CAN Chairman added.
