Police have rescued another man in Kano allegedly confined to a room by his father for 15 years.
The man, aged 35, Ibrahim Lawan was alleged to have been kept in solitary by his father, Mallam Lawan at Sheka Unguwar Fulani adjacent Gidan Mai Unguwa Bello for all the 15 years, Kumbotso local government area.
One of the eyewitnesses who informed the Police about the incident on condition of anonymity told Solacebase that the victim who is in critical condition and not mentally sound is now on admission at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, AKTH.
Recall that Ibrahim is the second person to have been rescued by the Police over the week in Kano as the first person was confined for 7 years.
Kano Police Command Spokesman, DSP Abdullahi Haruna confirmed to Solacebase that a team from the command stormed the residence on Sunday morning at about 11.00 am where the young man was rescued.
Solacebase gathered that the father of the victim, Mallam Lawan, who is a Friday Mosque Chief Imam, is nowhere to be found.
As at the time of filing this report a team of policemen and NAPTIP are still at the residence of the victim.
