Plateau United General Tasked Team To Win First Away Match In The Nigeria Professional Football League

General Manager of Plateau United Football Club of Jos, Pius Henwan has charged his team to beat Warri Wolves in their next match of the Nigeria Professional Football League slated for Wednesday at Ozoro , Delta State.

Henwan gave the charge while addressing the team shortly before their departure from Jos Monday morning.

He explained that a victory in the match against Warri Wolves will see the team recoup the three points dropped at home after their infamous two-nil lost to Kwara United of Ilorin in the season opener in Jos.

The General Manager stated that recouping the points will not only close the gap at the top of the league table, but it will also boost the morale of the players as they keep hopes alive of another league title and continental football next season.

“I want you to go there and bring back the three points against Warri Wolves. I know you can do it because you have all what it takes to beat your opponents right there in their backyard.

” Already you have recouped two points from the three dropped at home against Kwara United. A victory in Warri will see you accomplish the task which am very optimistic you are capable of doing.

He congratulated the team for the hard-fought one-nil victory over north central neighbours, Nasarawa United of Lafia last Friday , stressing that the victory is a big moral booster which will spur them up ahead of their double away assault against Warri Wolves and Enyimba International of Aba coming up in that order.

Henwan assured the team of management support and encouragement at all times, assuring that they will receive their January salary this week while efforts are on to offset their outstanding match bonuses.

The experience sports administrator admonished them to play as a team and complement each other in order to achieve their target adding that management will continue to accord their welfare top priority to enable them succeed.

Plateau United are currently occupying the seventh spot on the NPFL table and a victory in its double away matches , will see them move into the top three on the log.
