PDP Lawmakers Hail Speaker For Quality Leadership

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), lawmakers at Nasarawa State House of Assembly,  has expressed satisfaction with the leadership style of the speaker, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi.

Hon Danladi Jatau (PDP- Kokona West), the Minority Leader of the House gave the commendation while speaking during Re-Training Workshop 2021, organised for Honourable members, management staff and committee Secretaries of the state assembly in Jos, Plateau State.

The  workshop titled, “International Public Sector Accounting Standards ( IPSAS):  A Tool for Effective Legislative Oversight Function”, is for five days.

The minority leader who went down memory lane said that having Balarabe Abdullahi, as the speaker of the House is the best thing that has happened to the House and by extension the state at large.

“I want to sincerely thank and appreciate the speaker for his leadership style and for his all inclusiveness in carrying everybody along and sustenance of peace and unity in the House.

“Honestly, at the initial stage, when we came newly,we from the opposition are confused, we don’t know where to start from but with the leadership style of the speaker we all get along”

” We live a united and peaceful House as if we all are from the same political party, ” he said 

The minority leader has assured the speaker of their full support to enable him succeed for the benefit of the house and the state at large.

Recalled that the present 6th, State Assembly in Nasarawa State was inaugurated on the 10th of June,2019. with the 5th assembly Speaker Rt.Hon.Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi (APC Umaisha/Ugya) reelected unopposed as the 6th assembly Speaker.

Currently, APC have 17 lawmakers, PDP 6 and ZLP 1, after Abdulaziz SK. Keffi East left SDP for APC and Hon.John Osewu Doma South left PDP for APC.
