A Cheiftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Kaduna State, Gen. Gora Kutunku (rtd) has urged Muslims to exhibit the virtues of sacrifice and obedience as they celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir.
The Cheiftain made the call in a message he personally signed and issued to Journalists in Kaduna yesterday.
“This is as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, who offered his son, Ismail in obedience to the will of Allah,’’ he said.
The retired General said that any genuine service rendered to God would always be rewarded by God, adding that “everyone should be eager to get a reward from God.
“Muslims should continue to exhibit faith and they should also appreciate God’s goodness, which has always been with mankind.’’
While wishing the Muslims a peaceful and rewarding celebration, the Philanthropist urged all Nigerians to continue to pray for the nation to witness a rapid transformation in every sphere.
” I urge all to imbibe the virtues of sacrifice, faith and love which this season represents, especially now that our nation was going through challenges occasioned by Kidnapping, banditry among many others.
“As citizens, let us continue to work towards unity, peace, and progress during this period and beyond.” Gora appealed.
