The national president, Atyap Community Development Association, ACDA, Comrade Dr. Silas Adamu said only the Atyap, Hausa and the Fulanis who are resident in the land can give themselves lasting peace in the Area.
Adamu stated this in a separate
meeting he organised with Atyap youths in Government Secondary School, Zango Kataf and Hausa/ Fulanis at the palace of the district head of Zango urban over the weekend.
He said, “if we look for peace, we’ll
get peace but often times we allow certain things to happen to destroy our peaceful co-existence.
“We must entrench core values
that would unite us, ensure sustainable peace, mutual trust and rapid development in the land.
“Peace is an investment; the peace
we enjoy today not only allow for production and consumption but also creates expectations and culture of peace for tomorrow”, he said.
The President maintained that
“the Fulanis, Hausa and Atyap did
not grow to be enemies of each other and that at some point in search for education, he spent 2 years with
Alhaji Mato’s family and left to Alhaji
Musa’s lawyer for two years, and
these are Hausa men.
They’re part of the training I received to be what I am today.”
He charged the youths from
both parties to desist from using inflammatory comments that will spark any unrest in the land.
