As the industrial action in Nasarawa State enters week 3, the coalition of youths under the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC), has called on the Nasarawa State Government and the Organised Labour in the state to resolve the impasse between them for the good of the state.
North Central Vice Chairman Stephen Abraham Narai and state chairman of NYC, Hon Kefas Tigga, made call yesterday while addressing the press on the strike and on the state of the nation.
NYC expressed dismay that the lingering strike has hit hard on the economy of the state, as such it said there is need for government and labour to come to truce.
They also called on youths in the state to shun any form of inducement by taking advantage of the strike to indulge in criminal activities.
The coalition also obeserved that “Nigeria is undergoing various challenges, ranging from economy, health and security”, as they gave Kudos to state governments for tackling such challenges.
They commended governor Abdullahi Sule, as a civilised democrat who believes in youths inclusion and deploying various strategies in addressing the needs of the citizens of the state.
“Nigeria Youth Congress, pass vote of confidence on His Excellency, Engr A. A. Sule and endorse him for a free and smooth ride into a second term in office come 2023” they said.
