Since Nigeria was given independence on 1st October 1960, there are individuals after our hearts. Majority of them are heroes while there are villains among them Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has made a difference among the park.
“The villains have many things in common. They betray their benefactors in pursuance of narrow minded political brinkmanship in pursuance of ethnic identity politics”.
“They revealed their true colours while bestriding the seat of power like a colossus. We must shed the light on one of the darkness of treachery that has enveloped our political environment in the present dispensation”.
Is it not an irony that Tambuwal is preoccupied with attacking the Asiwaju Bola Tinubu administration in all its facets, he is at the same time surreptitiously working with disgruntled politicians who brought Nigeria to its sorry state from 1999 to date?
His recent utterances once again brought to the fore the treacherous political conduct, intrigues, dishonesty and insensitivity to all his benefactors all these years.
A mere mention of his name evokes a litany of his past treacherous politics. Among the most heinous of his betrayals is his recent heart to heart association with Nasir El-Rufai, the expired political dinasour who demolished the Kaduna home of Tambuwal’s bossom friend. They have been friends right from their days at the Usman Danfodio University Sokoto. El-Rufai, ignored subsisting court order, brought down the house in a cynical manner against every intervention made by men of goodwill. Also, went ahead and masterminded the suspension of the same late Barr Inuwa Abdulkadir, the Magatakarda Babba of Sokoto of the Sokoto Caliphate as the National Vice Chairman of the North West Zone of the APC. After the demise of Tambuwal’s friend, El-Rufai teleguided the emergence of Salihu Lukman, his sidekick as replacement of the Abdulkadir(now deceased).
Tambuwal’s another rabid treachery is his unholy decision against the emergence of Barr Wike as the presidential candidate of the PDP. Same Wike, who supported Tambuwal in his presidential quest in 2019. Wike visited Tambuwal in Sokoto with regularity and open mindedness. Not knowing that Tambuwal’s persuasive smiles and tongue was deceitful, he severally invited him to Rivers state for projects commission executed by the then Wike led Rivers state Government.
We are sufficiently disturbed in his posturing to deceive the people and fool other Nigerians by resorted to telling lies against PBAT and the Barr Nyesom Wike, the indifatigable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja. How else can one explain a situation where Tambuwal want Nigerians to believe he is not part of the to plot once again to impose a decadent regional system once again on the Nigerian people. His role in the ouster of President Goodluck Jonathan based on sectional agenda is still fresh in our memory.
It is high time for Nigerians to know that Tambuwal’s pan Nigerian political perspective is a ruse. This is against the backdrop of the contest for House Speakership of the House in 2023, Tambuwal supported his kinsman against Femi Gbjabiamila, a southern who supported his emergence as Speaker in 2011. Also in the PDP Presidential primaries in 2023, he betrayed the then Governor Wike his benefactor in support of Atiku Abubakar. In the present build up to 2027 general election, Tambuwal seems to be nursing an agenda against the emergence of any southern presidential candidate in favour of his kinsman once again. To willfully harbour such obnoxious sentiment goes to show him as a bad joke using misplaced attack on PBAT and Wike to legitimatize his sectional cleveages.
Only the full truth will set Tambuwal free. Selective truth will only expose his ideological propaganda and render whatever rhetorics he may present as totally unbelievable.
As the saying goes, “He who brings home any infested firewood is indebted to the visit of lizards.” Therefore, we urge political actors, political parties and Nigerians in general to place their search light on the present and future political activities of Tambuwal both within and outside the Senate chambers.
We believe in the positive aggressiveness and hard work of Barr Wike in his above average performance and delivery in the FCTA Ministry. He has demonstrated that with clean and determined minds even mountains can be moved. He has paid his dues and we shall mobilise every resources available to support him work with PBAT to make our a great and prosperous nation.
Hence forth, any attempt by mischief makers and disgruntled politicians acting against interest of our country disguised as anti Wike parlance shall be met with stiff resistance and response from this organisation. We shall stand by Barr Wike’s unrelenting positivity towards progress and development of all FCT citizens.
Nigeria will continue to serve as metropolitan of stagnation, confusion and retrogression; until we realise that our salvation does not lie with the kind of pretenders Tambuwal supported in the 2023 presidential election.
