Nigerian Envoy To Seirra Leone Donates Cash To NSUK Alumni

The Nigerian Envoy to Serria Leone, Ambassador Henry Omaku, has donated 1 million naira, to the ALUMNI of Nasarawa State University Keffi, to complete its secretariat.

Similarly, the ambassador donated another 1m naira to 226 Alago students to enable them complete their project work.

Ambassador Omaku, announced the donation during a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor of Nasarawa State University Keffi, Professor Suleiman Mohammed, in his office yesterday.

The ambassador who is a graduate of the university, while announcing the donation said he is proud to be a product of NSUK, hence the need to identify with the school.

He announced that he is into negotiation with some universities in Serria Leone, for possible collaboration with the Nasarawa State University Keffi, for cross breeding of ideas.

Vice Chancellor of NSUK, Prof Mohammed, while receiving the cash donations on behalf of the students, thanked Amb. Omaku, for his kind gesture to the school and students.

Prof Mohammed, who said his administration is open, transparent and and accommodating called on other ex-students to emulate the ambassador by giving back to the institution that made them.

He said the institution is willing to collaborate with any organisation in and outside the country, becuase they are poised to make the school a 21st century university.

He said so far the university under his watch, have established faculties of medicine and engineering, fight ethical conduct, introduced whistle blowing policy and other programs that have yielded positive results.

He commended the Alumni and leadership of students union of the institution for collaborating with the management to build university that can stand the taste of time.
