-The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 288 new cases of the COVID-19 infections
-The agency stated that the new cases were reported in 15 states across the country
-With the new infections, the total tally of infected people in the country rose to 5,445
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in a tweet on late Friday night stated that the new cases were reported in 15 states.
It said 179 of the new cases were in Lagos, 20 were recorded in Kaduna, 15 each in Katsina and Jigawa and 13 in Borno State.
Eleven cases were recorded in Ogun while 8 others were recorded in Kano. This is in addition to the 7 recorded in the FCT.
Niger and Ekiti had four new cases each; three cases each were recorded in Oyo, Delta and Bauchi. Kwara recorded two cases while Edo had one case.
With the new infections, the total tally of infected people in the country rose to 5,445 with 1,320 recoveries while the total deaths stood at 171.
