Baring last minute change, the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation is set to reappoint former Super Eagles Coach Bitrus Bewarang as the Technical Director of the Federation.
According to ExclusiveNews, his two assistants, Siji Lagunju and Rafiu Yusuf are also said to be re-appointed.
It could be recalled that Coach Bitrus Bewarang’s initial four years contract with the Federation expired on 31 July 2020, with the leadership of the Federation directing the Technical Committee to recommend a replacement for him.
However, source at the Sunday Dankaro House of the Federation, revealed that the Technical Committee has recommended that a new four year contract be given to the former Plateau United boss. Bewarang, the source further revealed the he was able to have discharged his responsibilities effectively in his first tenure, and has the full support of the leadership of the Nigerian Football Coaches Association.
The committee also recommended the re-engagement of Siji Lagunju and Rafiu Yusuf as Assistants to the Technical Director, also on a four year contract.
Both former mercurial players were retired after attaining the mandatory 60 years as civil servants.
