Nasarawa State Government has released the sum of N90 million for disbursement to some selected communities across the state to embark on meaningful development projects that would improve on the living condition of the people.
The fund was released to the communities based on their chosen projects, under the supervision of Community and Social Development Projects (CSDP) to help addressing infrastructural deficit and deteriorating state of affairs at the rural areas.
Presenting cheques to some benefiting communities in a ceremony in Lafia, Governor Abdullahi Sule said that, his administration was going to place high premium in developing rural communities in the state.
He tasked the executing agency, the Community and Social Development Project (CSDP) to ensure properly utilization of the fund for the purpose it was intended for the overall benefit of the people.
Governor Sule therefore urged the beneficiaries to embark on their chosen community development projects that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people.
Since the creation of CSDP in 2009, this is the first time such amount was being approved by the state government for Community Projects in the state.
