The Nasarawa State Government has announced that both private/public primary and secondary schools in the state, which are shut due to the coronavirus pandemic, will reopen on 5th October.

The permanent secretary in the ministry of education in the state, Usman Abu Giza, confirmed the development in a statement

“His Excellency, Engr Abdullahi A Sule, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State has approved Monday,, 5th October, 2020, for the re-opening of both Public and private primary and secondary schools in the state,, for the 3rd term of the 2019/2020 academic session”

“The state ministry of health will train teachers on how to observed Covid 19 protocol, while the ministry of environment will fumigate all the schools”

“Our own ministry will supervise the schools to ensure that all the necessary Covid 19 protocols are observed to for the safety of children and teachers” he said.

Giza, called on parents to send their children to school without delay, because lessons will commenced in ernest.
