The Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai has successfully killed more than 70 terrorists during targeted airstrikes on November 6 at Kwallaram and Arainna Ciki islands in Borno State.

In a statement released on Saturday, Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Edward Buba, reported that over 70 extremist members were neutralized at Kwallaram, with additional casualties at Arainna Ciki.

He emphasized that the military has ramped up offensive operations against terrorists nationwide, effectively dislodging them from their strongholds and causing significant losses through coordinated air and ground strikes.

The operations yielded impressive results, with troops neutralizing 169 terrorists, apprehending 641 individuals, including 40 involved in oil theft, and rescuing 181 hostages.

The military also recovered a substantial cache of weapons, including 192 assorted firearms and 2,970 rounds of various ammunition types, such as 106 AK47 rifles and 38 fabricated rifles.

In the Niger Delta region, troops dismantled 20 crude oil cooking ovens and 83 illegal refining sites, resulting in the recovery of significant quantities of stolen crude oil and refined products.

Maj.-Gen. Buba noted that the ongoing military operations have severely weakened terrorist ranks, prompting desperate recruitment efforts on social media, particularly by the ISWAP terrorist group.

He assured that military offensives will continue until all threats are eliminated.
