Some senior Nigerian military officers have discovered a mystery behind the Bible in a scene of an attack that claimed the lives of several people.
Elanza News reports that the Bible was discovered on top of a melted Laptop but the cover of the Bible and the page the inside pages were intact, despite the fact that explosives were used in the attack that destroyed several vehicles.
The discovery was made by some Nigerian military officers who were in the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission (MINUSMA) in Mali.
The incident happened in Timbuktu during the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Mali.
MINUSMA was established on 25 April 2013 by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2100 to stabilise the country after the Tuareg rebellion of 2012.
Timbuktu is a city in Mali, situated 20 km north of the Niger River. The town is the capital of the Timbuktu Region, one of the eight administrative regions of Mali. It had a population of about 54,453 based on the 2009 census.
But the Nigerian military officers who were apparently conducting an investigation at the scene of the attack, found a Bible with it’s complete pages despite the fact that the flame of fire from the incident was devastating.
The Bible had no damage. From it cover down to the inside pages, the word of God could not be destroy, it was gathered.
A video obtained by Elanza News shows that everything was destroyed at the scene of the fire that consumed the vehicles, except for the Bible that was on top of a Laptop.
The computer, it was discovered to have melted but the Bible remained readable.
A senior military officer, UC Ezeh, who was part of the team that found the Bible said: “From cover to cover, the Bible remain intact. Who say there is no God?
“This one is not social media. This one is life,” Ezeh said of the Bible.
Ezeh was heard saying: “Here in MINUSMA Timbuktu to go to Mali, to God be the glory.”
“Look at the Laptop,” Ezeh was seen in the video pointing at the melted computer the Bible was on top of.
