Medical Doctor Sues Senator Danjuma La’ah, Claims N1.8m

Dr. Philip Ataga, the Chief Executive Officer of Ataga Scan & Diagnostic Services in Kaduna has sued the Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Danjuma La’ah, praying the court to award the sum of N1.8 million to him.

In a Suit No: KDC/278CV/2021 which is before the Chief Magistrate Court of Kaduna, Daura Road, Dr Ataga want the court to pay him an outstanding balance of N1 million which is part of a medical outreach he carried out for the Senator in 2018.

Ataga had in an earlier letter demanding for the payment of the N1 million, said the medical outreach carried out in Senator Danjuma La’ah’s constituency in 2018 boosted his chances of winning the ticket of the Peoples Democracy Party (PDP) which made his return to the Senate possible.

Counsel to the plaintiff, Frank Akhareghemen has asked the court to order the defendant to pay their client the sum of N1,000,000.00 (One Million Naira) as an outstanding
balance for medical outreach done at three local Government Areas of Kaduna State in 2018.

The Counsel is also demanding the sum of N300,000.00 (Three Hundred Thousand Naira) being the incidental expenses and/or legal charges which the
Plaintiff incurred in respect of this matter.

He is also asking for the sum of N500,000.0 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira) as damages for loss of use and economic inconvenience and losses caused Dr Ataga by Senator Danjuma La’ah.

Elanza News reports that the court order by substitution has already been pasted on Sen Danjuma La’ah gate located at No. 14, Tanko Ayuba Road, Narayi High Cost, Kaduna today, 14 July, 2021 being the last known address of the defendant.
