Civil societies and media men have vowed to promote Criminal Justice Administration in Jigawa state for enhancing rule of law and social justice.
The groups made the declaration during three days training and lunching a team for the campaign which was supported by CLEEN Foundation held in Dutse Capital.
A strong team combined media, civil societies was constituted as a champion and Observatory actors in promotion Administration of criminal justice law in Jigawa state.
Speaking at the lunching of the term the communications and media officer of the foundation Anna White Agbo said, the team is expected to work with state actors and other stakeholders for achieving it’s targeted goals.
She noted that, it was observed that there are many challenges hampering full and effective implementation of criminal Justice law in Jigawa state and Nigerian in general.
Mr Ana added that, without justice the society can’t enjoy peace and progress, therefore working around promoting administration of criminal Justice law and social justice is a collective responsibility of every good citizens
The communication officer than charged the team to collaborate with all relevants stakeholders and group or individual indicated his interest in joining the campaign.
However during the training, major stakeholders were identifies as well as the process to fully engage them for achieving the desired goals.those included: chief judge, commissioner of police, Correctional services, NDLEA, NSCDC, traditional and religious leaders.
