Perisic joined Inter Milan back in 2015 but he has seemingly been pushed out of the door heading into the summer transfer window.
He was loaned out to Bayern Munich last summer but he struggled to establish himself as a regular due to injury problems, starting just 11 Bundesliga games.
Bayern have opted against activating the £18million buyout option in the loan deal, meaning he will return to Inter following the conclusion of the Champions League.
But Inter appear ready to cut their losses on Perisic this summer and United are reportedly ready to reignite their interest in the 31-year-old.
According to Fichajes.com, the Red Devils have already approached Inter regarding a potential transfer for Perisic.
And the report adds discussions have taken place over a possible swap deal which would see Alexis Sanchez head in the opposite direction on a permanent basis.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to get Sanchez off the club’s wage bill while Inter are keen to keep the Chilean heading into next season.
The former Arsenal initially struggled to make an impact at Inter prior to the suspension of football due to the coronavirus pandemic.
