LP Senatorial Candidate Blames Southern Kaduna Retrogression On Elites

The Labour Party (LP) Senatorial candidate for Southern Kaduna Senatorial Zone, Engr. Micheal Auta has said that, despite the vast endowment of natural resources, the region remains retrogressive rural, thereby blaming the condition of the s on the polity leaders.

The Senatorial hopeful stated this in an exclusive interview with THE PUNCH on Sunday in Kaduna.

He said if elected as the Senator of the region he will provide the required leadership that will turn around the misfortunes of the area into an industrial hub that would create wealth for the downtrodden.

” We have a vast land and ours is to pave way for investment that will create wealth, people will have jobs and economic activities would flourish so that the dependence on government will be reduced to the bearest minimum”, he noted

He decried that over the years the leaders who are voted in to give credible representation are only interested to remained in office rather than bringing the desire developments.

” I am coming to rejig the system, conscientise our people on the need to vote for leaders with impeccable track record that can entrench true democratic values.

He added that the Southern Kaduna region must not mortgage their future for peanut come 2023 general elections, stressing they must defend their votes no matter the intimidation by political opponents.

“Many Communities in Southern Kaduna today have been ransacked as a result of terrorists activities leaving our Children and women homeless, stressing the people has a peculiar task to give hope to these vulnerable Children and wen by voting-in leaders with empathy and compassion.” Auta maintained.
