Residents of Laduga Grazing
Reserve Communities in Kachia local government area of Kaduna State have commended Governor Nasir el-Rufai for re-awarding
a 22 Killometers road project
that was abandoned by previous administration, which has become a nightmare to commuters in the area.

It would be recalled that the road
was initially awarded by Governor Namadi Sambo in 2008 but was later abandoned under Governor Ramalan Yero’s administration.

Residents told LEADERSHIP that they were faced with tremendous hardship especially during the rainy season due to the abandonment of the road.

Overseer Ladduga District,
Adamu Abdullahi said residents of Ladduga Communities cannot quantify their appreciation to Governor Nasir el-Rufai’s administration for re-awarding the laudable road project that was abandoned by previous administration.

Adamu explained that previous administrations had promised to complete the road but failed, stressing that only the present administration of Governor el-Rufai is fulfilling its promise.

A medical doctor, Dr. Idris Jamo
said the road would boost economic activities of the area and will attract rapid development.

Jamo disclosed that so many
women and children lost their lives
due to the dilapidated nature of the
road before they get to hospitals in
the urban centres.
