The Educational Secretary, Zango-Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Mr. Samson Kasson, on Thursday advised governor Uba Sani to invest in education sector for more reform.
Kasson gave the advice in a press released issued to newsmen while congratulating Sani and his deputy Dr Hadiza Balarebe in Kaduna.
He said there was need for the Governor to support Educational Secretaries by investing in the educational sector through the Kaduna State Universal Basic Education down to the Local Government Education Authority.
“We expect more educational reform in all levels-primary, secondary and tertiary and Local government reforms,” he explained.
He added that the Governor should lay emphasis geared towards reinforcement, re-engineering and motivating the institution (LGEA) headed by the Local Government Education Secretaries.
“The Local Government Education Secretaries are the basic and end structure for educational growth and development.
“I express great optimism that the Governor would take the necessary measures in combating insecurity in Zangon Kataf Government which is the major cause for the soaring numbers of out of school children in the Local Government.
The Education Secretary expresses willingness to work closely with the Governor to explore ways in engaging more qualified personnel with skills and technology appropriate in shaping young minds towards a better and meaningful society.
He said Governor Uba Sani, as an educated, civilized and seasoned lawmaker with requisite experience and strength to pilot the affairs of the State, should encourage in-service training and re-training for teachers as well as workshops and seminars.
Kasson said he was confident that the administration of governor Uba Sani will imbibe an inclusive and accessible government that will enhance a more united and progressive Kaduna State for the general good of its citizens.
” We will commit and give our unwavering support and commitment to the government towards transforming the education sector in our dear state for quality service delivery.” Kasson assured.
