Kano Bans Sallah Durbar Due To COVID-19

Kano state Executive Council has banned Sallah Durbar in all five first class emirates in the state due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Elanza News reports that Information Commissioner, Muhammad Garba announced the ban Wednesday morning at a press conference in his office.

Mr Garba said all the five Emirs in the state will conduct Eid prayers in their domains following strict COVID-19 protocols.

Elanza News recalls that the Emir of Kano Aminu Ado Bayero is yet to conduct his first Sallah Durbar due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
