The three suspected cases of coronavirus in Kafanchan have tested negative, the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said.
It would be recalled that a neighbour of two ladies in Kafanchan had raised the alarm that they contracted Coronavirus on hearing one of them returned from Lagos.
Three person were Quarantined with their blood sample taken but the results have appeared to be Negetive.
But the Chief Medical Director of Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa Hospital, Dr Samuel Kure, who confirmed the result to newsmen in Kafanchan said the two suspected cases that caused panic at Ungwan Mission in Jema’a local government area of Kaduna State has been confirmed negative.
He said the blood test conducted by NCDC showed that the suspects did not contract coronavirus despite a visit to Lagos.
Dr Kure cautioned members of the public to desist from taking the laws into their hands.
The Chairman, Jema’a Local Government, Hon Peter Danjuma Averik, who saved the ladies from being lynched, also confirmed that the result turned out to be negative.
He called on the people to be mindful of what they post on social media adding that they should report any suspected case to the appropriate authority but not to take the laws into their hands.
” I am calling on the people of Jema’a Local Government to remain calm and law abiding,” Averik said in Kafanchan.
