The Kaduna State Peace Commission with funding from Ford Foundation, through Enough is Enough Nigeria produced and distributed more than 10,000 masks across Kaduna State to help curb the spread of the novel corona virus in the state. The masks were distributed in schools and other public places.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Kaduna State Peace Commission, Priscilla Ankut, Esq, lauded the support of Ford Foundation and Enough is Enough Nigeria, saying that the masks, when properly used in combination with other public health guidelines, should help make way for a turn around in the fight against Covid-19 and mitigating its impact on the socioeconomic wellbeing of Kaduna State.

The masks were distributed with the assistance of the Kaduna State Ministry of Education and The Kukah Centre along with staff of the Commission to ensure that the masks reach the different schools and public places in the state, with the knowledge on protection against the spread of Covid-19 in the state.

The donation of the mask from Ford Foundation is a great boost to the tremendous effort and steps taken by the Kaduna State Government to flatten the curve through the various interventions it has put in place, which the Peace Commission has supported since the beginning of the pandemic through sensitization on radio and TV and the production of fliers.
