The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kaduna state has issued certificates of return to the winners of last Saturday’s re run elections in Sanga and Kagarko State House of Assembly.
Presenting the certificates today at the INEC Headquarters in Kaduna, the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Malam Abdullahi Kaugama, commended the electorate and politicians for their peaceful conduct which paved way for a hitch free exercise.
He said based on the result of the re run elections, Mrs. Comfort Amwe of the PDP emerged the winner in Sanga state constituency while Nuhu Goro Shadalafiya of the APC came first in the election to represent Kagarko State Constituency at the KADUNA STATE House of Assembly.
Responding shortly after receiving their certificates of return, Mrs. Comfort Amwe and Nuhu Goro Shadalafiya commended INEC for their professionalism during the re run elections and hoped that the processes they followed during last Saturday’s elections will be replicated in subsequent elections.
It would be recalled that Mrs. Comfort Amwe won the re run elections with a margin of one hundred and twenty seven votes while Nuhu Goro Shadalafiya defeated his closest rival having polled the highest votes of 24,658.
