Two women and a boy are said to have lost their lives during a protest
against military harassment and brutality in Fadan Karshi, a community
in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Residents told LEADERSHIP that since late September, 2020, officers of
Operations Save Heaven, a joint taskforce drafted to tackle insecurity
in Plateau and neighbouring communities of Kaduna states have been
harassing them under the guise of flouting a ‘curfew order’ that was
imposed on the community.
Not satisfied with the said curfew, the community youths were said to
have approached their district head, Joel Galadima, demanding to know
who imposed the curfew and why.
It was gathered that the district head told them he did, claiming
there was an attempt on his life and that until the perpetrators are
fished out, the curfew will continue.
It was as a result of the response that the youths were said to have
mobilised themselves at the Fadan Karshi primary school march to the
District Head Palace, demanding the suspension of the curfew.
The district head was said to have contacted the military personnel

the Fadan Karshi traditional council secretary, Mr Mu’azu. The other
person killed was identify as Mr Peter Nuhu Gaje, a son to one of the
