Jema’a LGA Commemorates 3- day CAN National Prayer, Fasting

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Jema’a Local Government of Kaduna State on Sunday commemorated the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) national three day prayer and fasting with walk in Kafanchan.
CAN chairman in Jemaa Local Government Area Rev Fr John Mark, while speaking at the event held at St Peter Clevers Catholic Church in  Kafanchan after a procession, said that the occasion was in commemoration of the three day national prayer and fasting declared by the National CAN for the peace and stability of the country.
Mark encouraged the Christian community not to relent in praying for the nation and expressed optimism that the dark clouds would soon be over.
“We have prayed, we believe and we know that greater is the Lord’s army are with us,” he said.
The clergy commended the people for turning out  enmass from their respective churches.
Let’s be steadfast and unshaking because one with God is majority,” the CAN chairman said.

Also, the chairman, Kaduna State Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Rev Emmanuel Bako,  while speaking from the book of Isaiah chapter 66:8, said a nation can be born in a day.
Bako said although, innocent lives are being lost with many others persecuted, added that Nigerians should not lose faith as there was hope for the rebirth of a new Nigeria.
Elanza News reports that the prayer meeting which was led by Rev Jonathan Yohanna of the Assembly of God Church, Kafanchan, prayed against incessant kidnappings, wanton destruction of lives and property and the unity of the church.
The meeting, which was preceded by a special prayer walk, witnessed an unprecedented attendance of women, youth groups, clergies and persons from all walks of life.
