Jakadan Sokoto Condoles Sultanate Over Kingmaker’s Death

Former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris who doubles as Jakadan Sokoto has expressed deep shock over the death of the head of kingmakers in the caliphate, Alhaji Hassan Marafa Danbaba.

Idris in a condolence message to the head of the sultanate and sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Mohammed Sa’ad Abubakar 111, he described the demise of the influential Sokoto kingmaker as devastating and a great loss not only to the caliphate, but Nigeria at large.

The former Govenor said his death is the most difficult time for the people of Sokoto state and the sultanate, with his activities cut across cultural, social , political and quasi -government engagements to the betterment of the people.

Idris said he is personally dejected about the demise, coming not too long ago when the deceased lost his dear mother to the cold hand of death, stating that his young age would have been of great benefit to all round developement of Nigeria.

He prayed that Almighty God will forgive the deceased his shortcomings while on earth, and reward him with the great beyond with his numerous good deeds.

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris urged the caliphate to pray for the late head of kingmakers, saying that Almighty God knows the best.
