I Will Be A Youth Friendly APC Chairman — Al-Makura

A frontline aspirant for the position of the National Chairman of the ruling party, APC, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, has said he will be youth friendly if given the mandate.

Al-Makura, stated this while playing host to a group known as Progressives Youth Movement (PYM), at his office in Jabi, Abuja.

According to Al-Makura, if he emerge as APC’s national chairman, he will advocate that those elected on the platform of APC gives women and youths 50% of appointments.

Senator Al-Makura, who commended the group for its doggedness and commitment to ensuring good governance, assured them of good working relationship as national chairman of APC.

He encouraged the group to be upright in its activities and persevere all blackmails and backlashes aimed at tarnishing their images as youths of ‘immeasurable repute’.

Earlier, chairman of the group Prince Mustapha Audi and the secretary Tonye Isokariari, said they were in Al-Makura’s office to ascertain his blue print for the youths, if he becomes the national chairman of APC.

According to them, they need an APC chairman who is easily accessible to the youths who can come in at all times to bear their minds on the happenings in the country.

They expressed hope and believe in the leadership quality of Al-Makura and urged him to sustain the tempo in ensuring youth inclusiveness whenever he emerge as national chairman of APC.

Also speaking, member of House of Representatives for Keana, Doma and Awe federal constituency, Abubakar Nalaraba, who described Al-Makura as a youth friendly fellow, recalled how he appointed mostly youths during his 8 years stint as a governor.

In a vote of thanks, Al-Makura’s campaign DG, Comrade Dominic Allancha, assured them of youth inclusiveness and internal democracy, if Al-Makura, emerge as the National Chairman of APC.
