I Tested Positive For Coronavirus, Oyo Gov Says

Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde, has announced that he tested positive for the coronavirus.
Makinde stated this in his LinkedIn profile this evening adding that he has been under isolation and will continue receiving treatment where he is.
“I just received my COVID-19 confirmation test result. It is POSITIVE. I am asymptomatic and will continue to self-isolate.

“I have designated Prof Temitope Alonge, former Chief Medical Director of the University College, Ibadan, as the Head of COVID-19 Task Force while I recover fully.

“Please continue to comply with all the directives from the COVID-19 Task Force. Stay home, stay safe,” Makinde said.
Makinde is the third governor in Nigeria to have tested positive to the coronavirus after Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State and Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State.
