The police in Kano state have revealed the reason one Aminu Farawa of Kumbotso local government locked his son, Ahmed Aminu, in a garage for seven years without proper feeding or healthcare.
Kano Focus recalls that the police rescued 30-year old Ahmed Aminu on Thursday after a tip-off by a neighbor.
Mr Aminu who is currently receiving medical treatment has become emaciated due to hunger and diseases.
His arrested father had confessed to locking him for “only three years” on suspicion of drug abuse.

However, Kano state police spokesperson told Freedom Radio FM that Mr Farawa connived with his wife to lock his son Ahmed in an attempt to kill him.

“The house they are living in belonged to Ahmed’s late mother”. Mr Kiyawa said.
