It was untold celebrations and joy on Thursday, for people of Ibafon community in Ajeromi-Ifelodun local government in Lagos, as Hon. Musbau Kolawole Taiwo, member, Federal House of Representatives, officially handed over 18 blocks of classrooms and 2 VIP toilets to SUBEB.
The well loved and reverred legislator reignited his desires to change the narratives as it concerns responsible and responsive representation of the people at the hallowed green chambers, when he took it upon himself to rebuild the Ibafon Primary School, Olodi-Apapa, Ajegunle, that had been abandoned for 7 years.
The event that was attended by all political bigwigs and creme de la creme of the community, was described as timely and historic by many, considering the history of the school.
In his words, HKT, as he fondly called by his teeming admirers and followers, simply remarked that education is the key to any door of success.
” We must ensure that our children are provided with the opportunities to get quality education at all times. It’s no gain saying the importance of education.
” That we decided to rebuild and bring this long abandoned school back to life, is a sign of our plans to make life better for our people and also give them the responsible and responsive representation they truly deserves, ” the former Deputy Speaker, Lagos House of Assembly stated.
In his remarks, Executive Chairman, Ajeromi-Ifelodun local government, Hon. Fatai Ayoola commended HKT for the laudable project. He went on to reiterate his belief in the abilities and determination of the experienced lawmaker to deliver life- impacting dividends of democracy at all times.
” On behalf of the good people of Ibafon community and Ajeromi-Ifelodun local government in general, I say thank you. And we look forward to getting more of such projects that would help to develop our people,” Ayoola added.
