Chief Anthony Hassan have urged Nigerian youths to hold their representatives accountable if they fail to provide dividends of democracy as promised during electioneering campaigns.
The philantropist stated this while fielding questions from a group of Journalists shortly after the Kaduna annual Economic and Peace Summit organized by National Youth Council of Nigeria.
Chief Hadsan who bagged an award of excellence for his contributions to youth empowerment and development in Kaduna State, said it is high time the Nigerian youths took their destiny in their hands.
He further gave assurance of his total support for educational development and financial dependence of the youths.
” It is the responsibility of the youths to know that there are no white collar jobs now , charged the youths to concentrate on technological based driven jobs that can make them self reliant .
He further said , ” Even in developed nations you find out that they are developed because of small scale industries .Leaders must create the enabling environment for business initiatives that help create employment and empowerment for youths in Nigeria .
” The era where politicians give cars and bicycle to youths as empowerment scheme should be over . For me , instead of buying cars get them engage in a certain skill so that in the end ,they will be useful to themselves and the community at large.” Hassan advised.
