The Bajju Development Association (BADA) has elected Habila Madaki as it’s National president.
Also, a journalist, Midat Joseph was elected the Public Relation Officer (PRO) of the association in an election that held at the Bajju Town Hall in Zonkwa.
The Caretaker Committee Chairman, Mr. Patrick Ambut announced Habila, a former Principal Manager at NNPC as the winner of the election unopposed.
He polled the entire votes of 114 cast while his opponent stepped down before the commencement of the election.
Similarly, Hon Ishaya K. Habu emerged as National Secretary with 62 votes, defeating Andrew David who polled 52 votes.
In the same vein, a former Nigerian Union of Journalists Correspondent Chapel Chairman in Kaduna state, Mr Midat Joseph was elected the Union public Relations Officer while Caleb Danladi Kantiyok emerged the National Vice President unopposed.
Mr Bitrus Tanko Kato was returned unopposed as Vice President 2.

Bitrus Tanko Kato from Karu branch unopposed – 113 votes
Haruna A. Bijimi from Kachia branch- 110 votes
1. David Andrew from Jos branch – 52 votes
2. Ishaya K. Habu – 62 Votes
1. Dominic Dauda unopposed -119 votes

Sunday Katung from Jos branch emerged unopposed.
The electoral Committee Chairman, Mr. Patrick Ambut while Fielding question from LEADERSHIP said regarding all the challenges they were able to play their role to conduct a peaceful election for the development and enhancement of the Bajju land.
According to him the Bajju people would expect that be newly elected officials are expected to exemplify credible leadership that would move the Kajju land to a place it ought to be not docile leaders,” Ambut said.
The President elect, assured his readiness to work for the unity and development of the Bajju land, adding his emergence is a previlage to avail himself for service delivery.
” I will ensure all inclusive Government, whereby everybody will be involve in one way or the other. Those that seems to be out of us we’ll create room for reconciliation to ensure we bring them back to work holistically for our people.” Habila promised.
Our Correspondent reports that, Barrister Istifanus Yunana who performs the oath of office, swears in the newly elected officials shortly after the announcement.
