Gunmen Attack Taraba Community, 3 Killed

At around 2am today, gunmen suspected to be gangs of the late notorious Gana stormed Rafin Kada community in Wukari local government area of Taraba State, killing three and injuring one person.

A residents of the community who narrate the attack to our correspondent said the gunmen came in motorcycles after it rained heavily in the village.

“They came through the community maternity clinic. We heard sound of motorcycles. About 20 of them. The moment the bike stops, there were shootings. We thought peace has finally returned. We were not expecting an attack at this planting season,” he said.

The chairman of Wukari local government, Adi Daniel Grace, who confirmed the attack said one Mr Numa Ladan a security guard at the community hospital and Wando Bako a mother of five were shot along side her daughter-in-law. Her daughter was shot in the leg, the chairman said.
