The Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule has been named Blueprint security and peace building governor of the Year 2020.
At the Blue Print Newspapers’ 10th Anniversary and Impact Series Awards held in Abuja, the governor A.A. Sule was nominated for his contributions towards security and peace building in his state.
The award committee made up of eminent Nigerians said that his courage in maintaining peace and unity especially at the time the country is facing security challenges.
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BluePrint Newspapers Alhaji Mohammed Idris (FNIR) lauded the governor for his unique promotion of peace and good governance.
In his acceptance speech, A.A. Sule thanked the management of the organisation for deeming him worthy.
The governor who representaed by the Secretary of the State Goverment, Muhammad Ubandoma-Aliyu said this means so much to him because of what it represents.
“The award is a sign of encouragement and a clear indication that he is clearly doing his work and they have recognized him as somebody who has brought peace, somebody that has secured the state. So it is a milestone.
“This will certainly inspired him to do more because having an enabling environment that is secure obviously there is likelihood of him having the capacity to actually his efforts.
“I wish him long life and God’s guardians to continue to do more for the good people of Nasarawa State,” Aliyu said.
Other awardees are Former president Good Luck Ebele Jonathan, Governors Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno state, Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun state, Ben Ayade of Cross River state, Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state, Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state, and Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state and others.
