Gov Ishaku Determine To Complete All Ongoing Roads Projects – Commissioner

The Taraba state commissioner for Works and Housing, Hon. Irimiya Ibrahim Hamanjulde said the governor Ishaku administration is determine to complete all ongoing roads construction going on within the state before the end of his tenure.

Hamajulde while addressing the Press on Thursday in Jalingo the state capital, he said this administration has embark on roads construction more than any of its predecessor and it focus on completing them to ease all transportation and movements of goods.

According to him he said “The governor Ishaku administration is determine to complete all ongoing roads construction going on within the state before the end of his Tenure. As the state marks it’s Thirtieth year of creation August 27, it is important for us to celebrate the achievements we have recorded in the area of road construction especially.

“The development in this sector is very key and instrumental because the state is blessed with enormous resources in areas that are mostly hard to reach due to bad roads.

“Consequently, the governor made it a top priority to provide access roads to ease movement of farm produce and provide access to other resources such as timber in Kurmi and others.

“The dualization of the federal highway here in Jalingo involves the construction of a flyover, a bridge, six pedestrian Bridges and pedestrian walkways. This Eighteen kilometers road project will add to the aesthetic of the state capital and ease movement of those traversing the state.

“The Mararaba- Kurmi road is equally very significant because of the reach resources there. We have Cocoa, palm kernel and palm oil, ogbono, plantain and bananas as well as a host of other products that are grossly under explored. The construction of that road will change the narrative” he said.

Also speaking, the site construction manager, Engr. Doni Monzari assured Taraban that the dual carrage way will be completed before the end of next year. According to him he said the rain is slowing down the work, but definitely the project will be completed. Stressing that they are protecting the rain from damaging the road, that most contractor stop working when it’s raining season but they’re still working on the road which shows the determination to complete the work.
