African Voices Changemakers, a programme sponsored by National Telecommunications Company, Globacom, will this week celebrate wildlife and tourism enthusiasts on the continent.
African Voices will host the duo of Bemugi Sochaka who is uplifting his native Santa Maria community in Mozambique, through sustainable tourism development alongside wildlife conservationist at the Maputo Special Reserve in Mozambique, Miguel Gonçalves.
Generally known as the star of Mozambiques’s tourism, Sochaka who guides nature enthusiasts round major spots in the country has succeeded in raising the bar of tourism the East African country.
He guides visitors round and wows them with information and details on each tourist sites. His distinct styles always leave tourists with sweet memories, thus attracting more visitors to Mozambique.
A recipient of the 2018 African Ranger Award – a prestigious presentation by Paradise Foundation International and Alibaba Foundation, Miguel Goncalves is a wild life enthusiast popularly known as ‘nature warrior’.
He is the Park Warden of Maputo Special Reserve (MSR) and Ponta do Ouro Partial Marine Reserve (PPMR) – the Mozambique components of the Lubombo Transfrontier Conservation and Resource Area and has been playing pivotal role in protection and conservation of natural heritage and biodiversity.
The 30-minute magazine programme comes up on CNN Channel 401 on Saturday at 9.30a.m. with repeats on Sunday at 4.30a.m., 7.30a.m., 12.30p.m., 7.30p.m. and on Monday at 4.00a.m. A two-part, 15-minute edition is broadcast on Tuesday and Wednesday at 6.45p.m.
