A non-governmental organisation, Caleb Danaladi Foundation, has trained 250 pupils of Sambam Community in Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to give the Children an opportunity to compete on other climes.
Speaking at the end of the extensive training yesterday, the the executive director/Founder of Caleb Danaladi Foundation, Capt. Caleb Danaladi said his aim is to change the lives of Children living in the rural areas through ICT.
He said,” We have come to realised that to thrive in a global environment and in a competitive economy, it has become imperative to equip these Children in the rural area with the knowledge of ICT.
“Our Foundation intend to further create this avenue to educate the less privileged Children during their holiday, on Computer MS Access, Computer MS Excel, Use of Internet, Power Point Packages, Graphics Design and others.
Lamenting on State of the Nation, Capt. Caleb, noted that technology has broken barriers, reminding the pupils of the need to make conscious effort to overcome adversity.
“The Society belongs to the younger generation, hence the need to equip them and fashion out a future through entrepreneurship skills, adding that skills is what makes a Man to excel.
” The Society has moved to a knowledge based, calling on the Children to develop passion for the discovery of innate creative skills,” Caleb advised.
Caleb further thanked the facilitator, Mr. Jerry Ishaku for impacting on humanity, adding the Lord would increase him in knowledge as he continues to add value to humanity.
Meanwhile, One of the beneficiary, Holiness Jacob expressed appreciation to Caleb Danladi Foundation for the knowledge imparted on them.
