The former Director General, Nigeria Broadcasting Commission NBC , Professor Armstrong Idachaba who clocked 60 years has launched six books to promote journalism practice in Nigeria.

 

The two events was held at Chida Hotel Abuja on Saturday, June ,16 to mark the occasion.

 

Professor Armstrong Idachaba was prominent while holding forth at NBC having fought Endsars protesters in Nigeria, Twitter ban, political hate speech and misinformation on COVID, the dreaded world ravaged ailement that shook the world to standstill with lockdown.

 

He ensured the code of ethics of NBC was strictly adhered to, inline with the tenets of the profession, devoid of sensationalism or instigation of the Nigeria public.

 

At the occasion, the former Director General, NBC now a lecturer and visiting lecturer to many Nigerian universities states that his intentions to float the books was to assist journalists both practicing, learning and research opportunities to have indepth knowledge of the profession.

 

Idachaba, a play writer, scholar, dramatist, and publisher had alot of play to his credit both as a director and contributor in many areas.

 

He directed the famous Ameh Oboni, a play produced about two decades away in honor of late Attah Igala , His Royal Majesty , Attah Ameh Oboni 1.
