Federal Lawmaker Tasks APC Stakeholders To Shuns Politics Of Bigotry


Ahead of the Council Polls slated for 5th June, 2021, Hon. Gabriel Saleh Zock, Member representing Kachia/Kagarko Federal Constituency at the National Assembly has warned the All Progressives Congress APC, stakeholders in Kachia local government area of Kaduna State against politics of bitterness and bigotry, saying it is destructive.

The Federal Lawmaker gave the warning on Thursday, March 11th, during a crucial meeting with the Party’s Stakeholders and all the aspirants vying for the seat of Chairmanship in the Local Government Area held in Kachia.

He further charged them to create a common agenda that would promote peace and sustainable development.

” Put the interest of our Constituency first, stressing that politics was not about fighting enemies against the common interest of the general public.

He said: “To the politicians amongst us, let us shun politics of bitterness and violence and pursue our common interest as a party.

“Politics is not about dividing the people, politics is about aspiring for a platform and the ability to utilise it to positively impact on the people and bring sustainable development to your area you represent.

Adding,” Irrespective of party differences, let us forge a common agenda that will promote peace, unity and prosperity among our people,” Gabriel said.

According to him Do not take the contest as a do or die afair, adding shun politics of bitterness, gossip, lies and hate speech.

The Hon. Member also instructed the 3 zones in the local government to go and have an understanding with their stakeholders, members and aspirants to bring out a decision on what they want if possible let them have a concensus if need be.
